Bonnie Connolly Profile & Artworks


Bonnie Connolly is Anangu minyma ulkumunu, a senior Aboriginal woman. Born near Blackstone in Western Australia, she had a traditional bush upbringing in the country around Kaltukatjara, Docker River. She lived for many years of her later years in Mutitjulu where she worked as a senior traditional consultant and tour guide in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. An experienced wood carver, she was also a demonstration artist for Maruku Arts at the National Park Cultural Centre. Since moving to the Tjilpi Pampaku Ngura (Docker River Aged Care) she has continued to paint with both Maruku and, more recently, Tjarlirli Arts.
