Chriselda Farmer Profile & Artworks

Chriselda Farmer is Anangu, an Aboriginal person from the Central and Western Desert area of Australia who currently lives at Warakurna. She grew up in the communities of Tjukurla and Docker River where she attended the Nyangatjatjara High School. Since then she has worked in the child care centre and now at the Warakurna store.  Chriselda has been practicing her art for many years but more recently has shown a talent for punu carving and working with Tjanpi Desert weavers. Her skills have been passed on through the Tjukurpa, the Law and way of life governing her country.
