Nellie Patterson Profile & Artworks
Nellie Patterson was born at Pilpiny near Pipalyatjara and grew up travelling what have now become the Anangu Pitjantjatjara lands of north west South Australia. She was involved in the foundation of Maruku Arts and is an experienced and committed cultural ambassador and leasder. Nellie is a fine painter as well a as an experienced wood carver and her art work is well represented in major collections here and abroad. After moving to Adelaide for many years, she has now returned to Mutitjulu where she continues to work and paint.
