The minyma (women) are at the rockhole near Tjukurla called Tjarlirli. They are digging for water. They place grasses into the deep hole they have dug to act as a filter. The designs are based on the traditional body painting motifs used in women's ceremonies at that place. The sandhills are depicted as curved lines bordering the painting and are a dominant feature of the land.
